For those of you who are new to this site, you may not know that Linda Alvers produced a documentary about the LST 534. It was titled “Onto Rugged Shores” and was aired on the History Channel. Linda dedicated the film to all of the crew members and especially to the memory of her father, Henry Norman Alvers, who served as Coxswain on LST 534.
